How Pipettors Work
Pipettors work by generating a partial vacuum above the chamber that holds the liquid and releasing the vacuum selectively to draw up and dispense the liquid to another container. Some pipettors are able to dispense between 1 and 1000µl. Others on the other hand can dispense more.
Pipettors can also facilitate the accurate and sterile handling of liquid which is why they are often used in analytical chemistry, medical tests, and molecular biology.
